ATX–LPA pathway in animal models of rheumatoid arthritis Several animal models have been used to characterize the mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of arthritis and to test new therapeutic strategies. The collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) model (Courtenay et al., 1980, Luross and Williams, 2

The α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic KB SRC 4 receptor (AMPA) receptor is also enriched in postsynaptic striatal neurons (Bernard et al., 1997, Kondo et al., 2000, Reimers et al., 2011). Its activity is subjected to the regulation by a mechanism involving phosphorylation (Lu and Roch

  2023-03-21

There are several AP-1 Imiquimod hydrochloride in the sequence of TIMP-1 promoter [18,19]. EBV could up-regulate TIMP-1 expression by binding to the AP-1 site in the TIMP-1 promoter [18]. IL-32, a newly multi-function cytokine, could activate AP-1, NF-κβ, p38MAPK signal pathways, and induce cytokin

  2023-03-21

In glucose-stimulated pancreatic β-cells, B-Raf activity is increased, while Raf-1 activity is under the detection limit (Duan and Cobb, 2010). Thus, B-Raf is the primary protein kinase involved in the rapid activation of ERK1/2 in glucose-treated pancreatic β-cells. Expression of a dominant-negativ

  2023-03-20

The studies have described that Candida non-albicans are considered as remarkable pathogenic agents of OPC, and among them, C. tropicalis and C. glabrata are known as major strains that may replace C. albicans as the greatest causing agent of this infection [20], [21]. It has been shown that Candida

Optical coherence tomography angiography is another promising method for the assessment of corneal neovascularization. This relatively new modality is not yet widely used in part because of current limitations in the definition of images produced, lack of functional information, and inability to det

While there is structural information on the core of the amyloid fibril, less is known about oligomer structure. There is evidence that the C-terminal of Aβ may form beta barrels in some oligomer species (Tay et al., 2013, Do et al., 2016), or may exist as loosely aggregated strands in other oligome

  2023-03-20

The PAS domains of AHR consist of two regions, PAS-A and PAS-B, which function as interfaces for dimerization with ARNT and for ligand binding, respectively [14]. Although both the bHLH and the PAS-A domains have been shown to be involved in dimerization with ARNT, a recent report suggests that only
