  2023-05-17

The activity of MMPs is regulated at the level of gene transcription or by the enzymatic activation of latent enzymes. Inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin (IL)-1β, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and IL-6 are elevated in synovial fluid, synovium and cartilage in patients with OA, and these cyto

  2023-05-17

According to the present observations, the Ampkα1 isoform promotes AP-1 transcriptional activity and thereby fosters AM1241 of AP-1 target genes in cardiomyocytes via activation of Pkcζ. The transcription factor AP-1 plays a decisive role during cardiac remodeling [24], [25], [26], [37]. AP-1 modul

Conclusion We present here the first comprehensive analysis of B-Raf-induced transcriptional activation in insulinoma cells. The B-Raf-induced signaling cascade targets the c-Fos and the c-Jun genes. Both gene products are constituents of the AP-1 transcription factor. The phosphatases MKP-1 and

  2023-05-17

Introduction Active oxygen radicals in the human body have a strong effect of inducing lipid peroxidation, which in turn induces oxidative imbalance and causes various diseases. Natural polysaccharides are substances with certain antioxidant activity. They are used as antioxidants and have advant

  2023-05-17

Introduction Heart Failure (HF) is a major and growing health challenge in India and the developing countries. It is one of the most important causes of morbidity and mortality in the industrialized world. The incidence and prevalence estimates of HF are unreliable in India because of the lack of

  2023-05-16

Glycerol dehydratase (GDHt, EC 4.2.1.30) is a key enzyme for the bioconversion of glycerol into the value-added chemicals and thereby has recently attracted a great deal of attention as an essential component for metabolic engineering . GDHt carries out a radical-mediated turnover of glycerol into

  2023-05-15

In glaucoma, the primary retinal defect appears in the GCL, whereas the other retinal layers appear normal (Kendell et al., 1995). In the current work, chronic elevation of IOP induced RGC apoptosis, especially in the GCL, and α2 adrenergic treatment reduced RGC apoptosis. Various studies have repor

  2023-05-15

Perhaps the discovery of this linkage has served to catapult much of the work on ABCA1, leaving its family member in need of a relationship with a defined human pathology. In this regard, there is by now a quite mature literature that suggests that ABCA2 may have been overlooked in terms of its impo

  2023-05-15

The subdivision of 5-HT receptors started in the 1950s by Gaddum and colleagues, when they realised that in the guinea pig ileum, the effects of 5-HT could be blocked in part by morphine (M), and in part by dibenzyline (D). Gaddum and Picarelli proposed two receptor classes, 5-HT M and 5-HT D (1957)

Jesus et al. discovered a new series of azaindole as Aurora inhibitors through various modification of GSK1070916 (47). They synthesized series from modification of the GSK1070916 and evaluated for in-vitro Aurora-B/INCENP and Aurora-A/TPX2 inhibition assays. Modified MDL 12330A hydrochloride synthe
