Introduction Increasing environmental pollution caused by heavy metals, originating mainly from industrial processes and urban activities, as well as the widespread application of pesticides, fertilizers, manure and sewage sludge, has posed a serious problem for safe food production and become a po

  2024-01-23

Patients with ADA-SCID may experience autoimmune AEs after SCT (and/or during ERT) that are thought to be related to immune dysregulation prior to achieving complete immune reconstitution. The more common autoimmune manifestations include hemolytic anemia, hypothyroidism, and immune thrombocytopenia

  2024-01-23

The specific binding domain between PGK in group B strepotocci (GBS) and actin had been reported . PGK as the actin-binding protein identified in TMW 1.1434, which displayed highly significant adhesion was investigated for the binding sites and compared to bacteria with less strong adhesion to actin

  2024-01-23

To better understand the pathophysiology of ASDs, we would need comprehensive information on a) the functions of ASD-associated proteins in the brain, b) how mutations affect the expression level and function of these proteins, c) how mutations affect their function in neurons, and d) how changed ne

  2024-01-23

ACK1 can be localized to clathrin-coated vesicles [1]. The association of SNX9 with synaptojanin-1 would suggest the two cooperate during endocytosis at the synapse by coupling the sorting nexin to changes in phospholipid composition. ACK1 in turn negatively regulates the association of SNX9 with ta

Our analysis has devoted limited attention to the standard corporate tax scheme with deductibility for interest payments that is in place in most countries. A conventional corporate tax scheme offers partial deduction of capital costs, and can be interpreted as a change in the degree of capital cost

  2024-01-23

The synthesis and secretion of adrenal androgens is apparently unique to humans and nonhuman primates, and requires the expression of key mediators such as CYP17 [26]. Endocrine control of CYP17 expression in rhesus monkeys is comparable to that in humans [27]. An analysis of baboon cDNA for CYP17 s

Acknowledgments Introduction Cancer is the leading cause of mortality in the United States for those between the ages of 40–79 years, surpassing heart diseases by more than 100,000 deaths [1]. The cause of most cancer subtypes remains idiopathic and may arise out of ‘bad luck’ among otherwise

  2024-01-23

In plants, altered expression of Aurora kinases results in impaired meiotic divisions followed by the formation of aneuploid or polyploid progenies [21]. This observation is interesting from an evolutionary point of view because it can be assumed that, during evolution, the influence of biotic and a

  2024-01-23

The GRAVY value for a protein is calculated as the sum of hydropathy values of all the amino acids, divided by the number of residues in the sequence (Kyte and Doolittle, 1982). According to Kyte and Doolittle (1982) integral membrane proteins typically have higher GRAVY scores than do globular prot

Introduction Cadmium is a major component of heavy metal pollution. Phytoremediation is considered to be the more effective method for recovering contaminated soil [[1], [2], [3], [4]] via cadmium absorption, transport, and accumulation. Several cadmium-associated proteins have previously been we

The phylogenetic relationship demonstrates that both bovine and porcine 12/15-LO is more related to the human enzyme than the rabbit enzyme, despite the fact that the rabbit reticulocyte enzyme is a 15-lipoxygenase. The rabbit is one single species that expresses a 12/15 LO with 15-LO activity while
